THE EXPERIENCE

The Harbor Ecosystem Unit - Teacher Workshop

Join Billion Oyster Project Teaching & Curriculum staff to explore a BRAND NEW, fully standards-aligned unit: ECOSYSTEMS. We'll spend the morning together to explore the unit storymap as well as run through some specific lessons and activities!

Standards: MS-LS2-1, MS-LS2-2, MS-LS2-3, MS-LS2-4, MS-LS2-5

What's included

During this informational and interactive workshop, teachers will:

  • be introduced to the new unit and gain access to all lesson plans and materials.
  • spend time exploring the classroom activities, engaging in student hat moments followed by teacher hat discussion.
  • become familiar with oysters and the role they play in the NY Harbor ecosystem.
  • connect with other teachers in the Billion Oyster Project Community.

Unless otherwise noted, customers will receive a full refund or credit in case Billion Oyster Project cancels an event due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will not receive a refund.
