Restoring oyster reefs to New York Harbor offers an exciting scientific challenge. We gratefully draw insights and models from pre-existing restoration projects, and are developing a roadmap for large-scale reef restoration in New York Harbor.

As we install reefs in a highly urbanized setting, it is imperative that we test various restoration methods, collect data, continuously monitor our impact, and adapt in response to our discoveries — creating scalable best practices for oyster reef restoration in challenging environments.
