annual research project Symposium

Billion Oyster Project’s 7th annual Symposium celebration, on June 11, 2021, invited students across New York City to develop and submit creative projects related to New York Harbor. A diverse pool of Guest Reviewers from our network provided individualized feedback for every project submission, and the event culminated in a virtual Zoom Symposium that showcased the wonderful projects we’ve received.

Student Survey

As part of our work with Pace University and the National Science Foundation, we are asking the Billion Oyster Project community to help us promote an external survey for NYC middle and high school students. This online survey is voluntary, confidential, and asks for parental consent. The results will help us improve how we promote student interest in STEM activities and careers. Thank you to Pace University, the National Science Foundation, and the New York City Department of Education for their support of our educational programs this year.
