Save Ellis Island & the Billion Oyster Project invite you to experience immigration history and the role the oyster played in this iconic Harbor.

Come explore the abandoned immigrant hospital of Ellis Island, where over 12 million immigrants entered the United States. There you will also uncover New York Harbor’s intertwined history with everyone’s favorite bivalve, oysters!

The Billion Oyster Project (BOP) is leading the effort to restore our native oyster population in collaboration with NYC students, restaurants, and communities.

Save Ellis Island is working to revitalize Ellis Island’s unrestored immigrant hospital and preserve American history.

Join us for a hard hat exclusive tour of the unrestored immigrant hospital.

Tours will run at 12pm1pm2pm & 3pm Please buy tickets for your tour time of choice

Your 45 minute tour will end with some freshly shucked oysters perfectly paired with wine and a stellar view of the Statue of Liberty!
